Thriving Through These Tough Times

Thank you for the privilege of serving you over the last 30 years.

And thank you for allowing me and my team to come into your homes to help you create a place to enjoy family and recharge. During this unprecedented time, we’re still ready to help our neighbors.

At the beginning of March, the pandemic was growing, worry and uncertainty were growing within families.

We all started asking the questions: How bad will this get? How long will it last? What does recovery look like? Will I go out of business? How will I take care of my teammates? What can I do to be a part of the answer and not part of the problem?

Since March, our homes and home lives have changed drastically. As our lifestyle and behaviors evolve during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are continuing to find new ways to support our neighbors.

1. New Safety Practices Implemented

Our commitment to the community is to be the safest company with the highest quality service in the Triangle. On March 17th, we had already committed to our employees and neighbors to implement new safety procedures. We remained committed to that date during the uncertainty of the initial outbreak and adopted processes when the governor deemed our business essential.

Now we wear masks in homes and during our team meetings, use forehead temperature scanners at the beginning of each day, and have meetings with social distancing.

When we had to add extra steps like employee temperature measurement or social distancing, it met with very little resistance. We consider safety to be our top priority, and our ability to serve the community without endangering our employees and clients is a factor that we are deeply committed to.

2. Investing in and Serving The Community

Part of taking care of our neighbors includes continuous improvement and innovation.

The twist is that it required a cash investment to buy specialized equipment. So, we considered it part of our economic stimulus efforts. After we did some quick background research, we knew this was another opportunity to serve and support our neighbors. We announced it to our community, ran specials, huddled together to discuss results, and kept moving forward.

Value starts with a fundamental respect for people. So I ask, “What is important to my neighbor, and how can I help deliver that product or service?”

Like previous generations, we will have to rise to the challenge of our time as a nation. We know we will move through this challenging situation together. At Chimneys Plus, we are committed to making a positive difference in our neighborhoods. And together, we can become a better country after all this pain and hardship.

Your neighbor,
Charlie
